Story #21: Scotland Food & Drink Fortnight
We’re not alone, join us for some tasty celebrations! This next 2 weeks, from 31 August – 15 September, Mac & Wild are getting behind the official Scot Food & Drink festival of celebration hosted by the great people at Scotland Food & Drink. As the name suggests, the festival is all about recognising and championing the work of Scotland’s dedicated and growing army of food & drink producers as well as celebrating her incredible natural larder.

Maddy Norval – Highland Crofter who we buy our Hebridean Lamb from. Just so happens to be General Manager of M&W Falls of Shin!
As far as food & drink nations go, there are few more exciting places to be right now than Scotland. From some of the world’s freshest produce to truly innovative producers, the future of Scotland’s F&B industry is shiny shiny bright. So bright in fact, the powers that be tell us it is well on it’s way to the target of becoming a £30bn a year sector.

MacDuff Beef, Scottish Borders. Our most wonderful Beef partners ensuring the finest and most traceable meat at Mac & Wild.
And we’re very happy to hear all this. As you know, this is what M&W is all about. We strive to become a platform helping to celebrate and share our nations great natural and creative outputs, particularly helping to boost the growing food & drink tourism industry.
Mac & Wild Scottish Delights Taster Plates
This year marks the 10 year anniversary of the fortnight celebration so we have some special things planned at M&W. As well as daily social posts showcasing some of our incredible food & drink suppliers we’ve prepared a 14 day taster dish for just £5. The dishes are designed to showcase some of Scotland’s finest natural produce – some you will have sampled before and some completely new to M&W. Designed to be enjoyed alongside your meal, each dish naturally comes with a recommended whisky pairing if you would like the full experience! Dishes include:
Venison sausage roll & mustard paired with a wee dram of Auchentoshan 3 wood.
Macduff peppered beef Carpaccio paired with a wee dram of Talker 10.
Crispy haggis pops paired with a wee dram of Aisla Bay
Smokey Mackerel pate & Dulse seaweed paired with our Smoked salmon gin with tonic.
Wild highland mushroom bon bon paired with a Foraged Old Fashioned
